With the 213th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings added more depth to their offensive line with a solid interior blocker.

During the second day of the 2018 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings added another piece to their improving offensive line when they selected Pittsburgh tackle Brian O’Neill in the second round. Well. on Saturday, the Vikings added another new blocker in the sixth round with the selection of Appalachian State guard Colby Gossett.

Overview:

Massive offensive lineman who mainly played as a guard during his college career but also spent some time at tackle. Ranked as the seventh-best offensive guard in this year’s draft pool by Pro Football Focus.

Put up 32 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press during the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine. That amount was good enough for fourth-best among all offensive lineman at this year’s Combine.

Gossett is an average blocker in both pass-protection and in the run game. Gave up a total of four sacks in 1,757 snaps over the last two seasons.
