Colby Gossett’s fit with the Vikings:
If he makes Minnesota’s 2018 roster, Gossett will likely spend his first NFL season as a reserve or even on the practice squad. He has the potential to be a starter one day, but for now he will just provide the Vikings with more depth on the offensive line.
That’s not a bad thing though either. With the departures of Jeremiah Sirles and Joe Berger this offseason, Minnesota needed to improve the depth of their interior offensive line.

Gossett joins a Vikings group of young interior blockers that includes Danny Isidora and Pat Elflein. If all goes well, these three could be playing side-by-side on Minnesota’s offensive line for the next handful of years.
