Who has a chance to be the Minnesota Vikings’ third receiver in 2018?
By Adam Patrick
Laquon Treadwell
After a rookie season with the Vikings that only saw him catch one pass, some felt it was too early to label Treadwell as a bust. Now heading into his third year with Minnesota, the young receiver has only caught 21 total passes for 215 yards and zero touchdowns in his career so far.
It’s put up or shut up time for Treadwell in 2018. If he cannot convincingly emerge as the Vikings’ third receiver this summer, his time in the Twin Cities may be coming to a close sooner than later.
Perhaps a new offense and a new starting quarterback will help Treadwell finally find his fit in Minnesota. But there’s no arguing that the clock is will ticking on his career with the Vikings if he does not begin the regular season as the team’s third receiver.
