Who has a chance to be the Minnesota Vikings’ third receiver in 2018?
By Adam Patrick
Stacy Coley
Drafted by Minnesota in the seventh round last year, Coley did not see the field much as a rookie in 2017. But he did look impressive during the preseason last year.
In four preseason games for the Vikings in 2017, Coley caught 10 passes for 165 yards. During Minnesota’s third preseason matchup against the San Francisco 49ers last year, the receiver finished with four catches for 76 yards.
Coley certainly showed some potential last summer and a full offseason with Minnesota should only help him earn some more playing time in 2018. His chance to be the Vikings’ third receiver for the upcoming season seems smaller than Kendall Wright’s or Laquon Treadwell’s, but Coley definitely still has a decent shot to win the role.
