During the upcoming 2018 season, which offensive player for the Minnesota Vikings will emerge as the team’s best performer?

For the first time in quite awhile, the Minnesota Vikings had a pretty impressive offense last season.

In 2017, the Vikings’ offense ranked 10th in points per game, 11th in passing, seventh in rushing, and second in third-down conversion rate. Minnesota’s 23.9 points per matchup last year was their highest average in a season since 2013 (24.4)

Despite nine of their 11 starters from their 2017 offense returning for the upcoming season, the Vikings are still going to have to deal with a good amount of change. In 2018, Minnesota will take the field with John DeFilippo as their new offensive coordinator and Kirk Cousins as their new starting quarterback.

Last season, the Vikings’ offense was successful thanks to the play of Case Keenum, Adam Thielen, Stefon Diggs, Kyle Rudolph, and Latavius Murray. While Thielen was eventually named the 2017 Offensive Player of the Year by the Vikings, any of the other four would have been fine choices for the award as well.

For next season, will Thielen maintain his status as Minnesota’s best player on offense or will another player step up and take the reins? Who will be the Vikings best offensive performer in 2018?
