Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen spoke about some of the positive things quarterback Kirk Cousins brings to the team’s offense in 2018.

Ever since the Minnesota Vikings announced they agreed to terms with Kirk Cousins to bring the former Washington Redskins quarterback to the franchise, fans have been wondering how he will fit into the team’s offense.

Initial reports from CBS Sports have the team showing some early chemistry, with starting wide receivers Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs getting some time in with their new signal caller even before the team’s OTA’s officially started.

However, it is a statement from Thielen about what Cousins brings to the team that should have fans very excited about the 2018 NFL season. Check out what the receiver had to say about his new QB according to the Star Tribune:

"“Every quarterback has their strengths and their weaknesses. I think the thing he really brings to the table is the way that he leads, and his passion for the game of football. It has been really fun working with him and learning this offense together.”"

Not only does his love for the sport and command of the huddle impress Thielen, but he has to be loving having such an established quarterback on the team for three years to help bring the team over the huddle.

But it isn’t only what Cousins offers on the field that is appealing. Apparently, Kirk is just a good person to associate with, making locker room interactions, team meetings, and huddles something to look forward to.

"“He’s a pretty easy guy to be around and that makes it easy on us receivers. I think he gets along with everybody and it’s nice to have that, especially in that room when you need to have that room as a leader.”"

Last season, Thielen became the Vikings first receiver since Sidney Rice to accumulate over 1,000 yards in a season since Sidney Rice. Now, he enters an offense led by a passer who has surpassed 4,000 yards in each of his last three seasons, meaning this could be an even better year for the hard-working, undrafted free agent.

While only time will tell if the Minnesota Vikings offense will click with Kirk Cousins and Adam Thielen, the potential is definitely there for the team to have one of the best passing attacks in the NFL.
