The Minnesota Vikings have a great group of pass catchers on their roster for the 2018 NFL season, but not good enough to land in Bleacher Report’s top 10.

When it comes to weapons in the passing game, the Minnesota Vikings are pretty well stocked. Newly acquired quarterback Kirk Cousins will have some very talented players to throw the ball to and could have one of the best seasons of his career during the 2018 NFL season.

Adam Thielen was a 1,000-yard receiver last year and Stefon Diggs added 8 touchdowns. Former first-round draft pick Laquon Treadwell is set to prove himself again and last year’s leading pass catcher for the Chicago Bears, Kendall Wright, will join the fifth receiver to win a spot on the roster.

Sprinkle in one of the best tight ends in the NFL in Kyle Rudolph, sneaky good hands from David Morgan, and rookie Tyler Conklin joining the team in addition to running back Dalvin Cook catching passes and you’ve got loads of weapons to make Cousins smile.

Still, that wasn’t enough to land among the top receiving corps in the NFL according to an article from Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report where he put the Vikings in the thirteenth position on his countdown.

"“The only reason the Vikings don’t crack the top 10 here is the fact that Shurmur departed and the lack of a high-end No. 3 receiver. Offseason acquisition Kendall Wright will probably move into that role, as Laquon Treadwell has been a major disappointment since being drafted in the first round two years ago.”"

While the Vikings offense will likely look a little different under John DeFilippo and Kendall Wright will replace Jarius Wright, it’s still difficult to justify some of the other teams with less depth and talent available to be ranked higher than Minnesota.

Still, fans need to remember that these ranking are purely subjective and aren’t based primarily on statistics or advanced metrics. Minnesota should have one of the top offenses in the NFL thanks to all their firepower, and it should translate to being well above the 13th best in the league.
