Who are the players that will compete to be the starting right tackle for the Minnesota Vikings when they take the field for their first game of the 2018 season?

Since Phil Loadholt tore his Achilles in 2015, right tackle for the Minnesota Vikings has seemed to become a revolving door. The Vikings have tried to fill the role with a number of different players including T.J. Clemmings, Andre Smith, Jeremiah Sirles, Rashod Hill, and Mike Remmers.

To help in figuring out a solution for the right side of their offensive line this year, Minnesota selected Pittsburgh tackle Brian O’Neill in the second round of last April’s NFL Draft. O’Neill spent time as both a left and right tackle during his three seasons at Pittsburgh.

Who the Vikings will open up 2018 with as their starting right tackle is still very much up in the air. This year’s training camp and preseason will definitely be vital in Minnesota deciding who gets the role.

So who exactly are the candidates to begin the 2018 season as the Vikings’ starting right tackle?
