Everson Griffen – DE

If a vote were taken after the first half of last season, Griffen would have been the easy choice as Minnesota’s top defender. After eight games in 2017, the defensive end had already racked up a total of 10 sacks and looked to be on his way to a record-setting year.

Unfortunately, Griffen suffered a foot injury in Week 8 last season and it definitely played a part in him only notching more three sacks in his final 7 games of the year.

His foot is not expected to be a problem in 2018, but the veteran defensive end did just miss some time at the Vikings’ OTAs due to a minor knee injury. At 30-years-old, Griffen is reaching nearer to the end of his NFL career and this upcoming season may be one of his last to be regarded among the league’s best pass rushers.
