Eric Kendricks – LB

Although it was a little surprising that Kendricks was the first of the Vikings’ impending 2019 free-agents to receive a contract extension, it certainly does not mean that the young linebacker did not deserve his recent raise.

In 2017, Kendricks led all Minnesota defenders with 113 total tackles. Since getting drafted by the Vikings in 2015, the linebacker has led the team in total tackles in each of his three seasons.

Like many of his defensive teammates, Kendricks’ play has improved in each and every year he has been in Minnesota. If this trend continues in 2018, will this be the season the linebacker establishes himself as the Vikings’ top defender without any debate?
