Several stars from the Minnesota Vikings were on hand for a Minnesota Twins game where fans celebrated SKOL Night at Target Field on Friday, June 1st.

Minnesota sports are connected. Whether it is the Minnesota Vikings working with the Twins, Wild, Gophers, Lynx, or other local team sports, fans in the state can bet on the franchises having each other’s backs.

One great example of this is how the Twins host their theme nights. One game each season will feature athletes from other Minnesota sporting teams. On Friday, June 1, that night was SKOL Night.

Many fans were on hand for the event which saw several stars from the Vikings in attendance and featured the team’s new quarterback and two wide receivers throwing out the ceremonial first pitch of the game. Thankfully, all three made it to the catchers’ gloves.

FOX9 shared a video of Kirk Cousins, Stefon Diggs, Everson Griffen, Adam Thielen, and Harrison Smith hitting the batting cages to show off their baseball prowess. It appears as though some players have a bit more experience with baseball than others according to the results in the video.

It’s great to see Minnesota sports so intertwined. Having them come together and celebrate their unity with fans is a not only a great gesture but an excellent opportunity to encourage fans who love the Vikings to check out a Twins game.

Like the Vikings shared on their official Twitter account, it really is all #OneMN when it comes to sports in the state.

Thankfully, the Minnesota Twins walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Cleveland Indians on SKOL Night, allowing fans to go home happy after seeing their favorite Vikings players on the diamond.

It would be pretty cool to see a Twins-themed night at U.S. Bank Stadium in the future where a popular baseball player sounded the Gjallarhorn and fans got some piece of crossover memorabilia. Hopefully, that is something the Minnesota Vikings will consider doing in the future.
