The Minnesota Vikings wide receiver was included in the most recent portion of the 2018 NFL Top 100 list, voted on by players around the league.

For those who want to be lazy, it’s easy to think of a player to compare to Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen. Just think of another white pass-catcher like Jordy Nelson or Julian Edelman or Ed McCaffrey.

But those who saw what Thielen did during the 2017 NFL season know that he is way more than just another white receiver.

On Monday, it was revealed that Thielen ranks 36th on the this year’s NFL Top 100 list. Ahead of a bunch of his talented Vikings teammates including Harrison Smith, Xavier Rhodes, and Stefon Diggs.

During the clip featuring Thielen, Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver Mike Evans explains why the Vikings pass-catcher is deserving of his place on this year’s list.

"“Guys make fun around the league and say (he’s one of) the top white receivers. I think he’s one of the top (NFL) receivers, period.”"

For Thielen, this is his very first appearance on the NFL Top 100 list. Adrian Peterson is the only other Minnesota player to debut on the list at a higher spot (third in 2011) than Thielen.

The 27-year-old Vikings receiver was given the opportunity to be a full-time starter on offense in 2017 and he made the team very thankful for their decision. In 16 games last season, Thielen caught 91 passes for 1,276 yards and four touchdowns.

He will certainly have more attention on him next season and the Minnesota receiver will be out to prove himself once again. But Thielen has had no problem proving people wrong throughout his entire football career, so don’t expect him to phased by anything in 2018.
