Top notch coaching:

In just four seasons, Mike Zimmer has already vaulted himself into being considered as one of the Vikings’ best head coaches ever. He still has some work to do before his tenure in Minnesota will regarded as more impressive than Bud Grant or Dennis Green, but Zimmer is certainly on the right path.

Under their current head coach, Minnesota has transformed from one of the NFL’s worst teams in 2013 to being just one game away from playing in the Super Bowl last season.

Zimmer has not done it all by himself though. He has had the luxury of having a group a great coaches on his staff including Jerry Gray (defensive backs), Andre Patterson (defensive line), Mike Priefer (special teams), and George Edwards (defensive coordinator).

This year, Minnesota added another talented mind to their group of coaches in new offensive coordinator John DeFilippo. His addition is one that should only help Zimmer and the Vikings continue to have success in 2018.
