All-time Greatest Minnesota Vikings: No. 17 – Steve Hutchinson

Before he arrived in Minnesota, Steve Hutchinson was already a two-time First-Team All-Pro offensive guard with the Seattle Seahawks. But the Vikings were able to lure him away from Seattle in 2006 and he proceeded to keep up his high level of play in the Twin Cities.

During his six seasons with the Vikings, Hutchinson was voted to four-straight Pro Bowls, and he earned three more First-Team All-Pro selections. With the help of their talented offensive lineman (and some guy named Adrian Peterson), Minnesota finished among the NFL’s top five rushing offenses in 2008 and 2011.

This year was Hutchinson’s first time appearing on the ballot for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Although he made it to the final round, the former Vikings offensive lineman was not among those selected to be a part of the 2018 induction class.

However, it likely will not be much longer until Hutchinson is given his own gold jacket from the Hall of Fame.
