The 30 greatest Minnesota Vikings players of all-time

All-time Greatest Minnesota Vikings: No. 27 – Antoine WInfield
He certainly was not the biggest player whenever he was on the field (listed at 5-foot-9, 180 pounds). But where Antoine Winfield lacked in size, he made up for it with strength and aggressiveness.
After signing with the Vikings as a free agent in 2004, the corner fit in very nicely with Minnesota’s defense. Winfield was not only excellent in pass coverage, but he also had the impressive ability to halt an opposing rushing attack.
Current Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer would love to have Winfield playing on his defense today, as the guy was a tackling machine.
Cornerbacks, especially those of today, are not usually known for compiling a high number of tackles. But during Winfield’s nine seasons with Minnesota, he finished with at least 85 total tackles six different times (including 101 in 2012).
During his career with the Vikings, the cornerback was voted to three Pro Bowls, and he earned a Second-Team All-Pro selection in 2008.
