Stefon Diggs and Kyle Rudolph want matching Vikings jerseys and pants
By Adam Carlson
Kyle Rudolph and Stefon Diggs, two Minnesota Vikings star players, want their jerseys and pants to match on the field during the 2018 NFL season.
There is little doubt that Minnesota Vikings jerseys are amazing. These days, it’s hard not to see someone walking around sporting a purple and gold jersey supporting the team and showing off their SKOL pride.
However, for the players who wear those jerseys on game day, there is little decision that goes into what to wear. Each team designates their uniform before the team takes the field, meaning that there is uniformity in their jersey and pants color.
Minnesota has been toying with the combination over the last few years. Fans have seen Purple jerseys with white pants, white jerseys with purple pants, purple jerseys with purple pants, and white jerseys with white pants.
Recently, two Minnesota Vikings players spoke on Twitter about their preferred combination of jersey and pants. First, wide receiver Stefon Diggs urged Minnesota to match the purple jerseys with purple pants.
Being a man who knows fashion and always looks good, Diggs’ words should be heard by the team. The purple/purple combo is something fans have been consistently wanting to see on the field for several years.
Replying to Diggs on the tweet was tight end Kyle Rudolph, who stated that he’d like to see the white/white combo as well.
The idea of no longer mixing and matching jersey and pants colors should be appealing to fans as they just look crisp and clean. While they may not continue the trend of contrasting colors, fans should hope these statements are heard and the team will go forward with having solid uniform colors.
