5 Minnesota Vikings who could make their first Pro Bowl in 2018

Pat Elflein
Offensive linemen rarely get a lot of love. They are almost never considered for big awards like the Associated Press MVP, Pro Football Writers of America MVP, or even Offensive Player of the Year because they don’t play a flashy position.
Even if Pat Elflein plays a great year of football during the 2018 season, he won’t get a lot of recognition from a majority of fans and sports media. However, he may have the potential to make that jump in his second year with the Vikings if he can put together a dominant performance following a solid rookie year.
In fact, NFL.com analyst Gil Brant believes Elflein will be the next member of Minnesota’s team to make the Pro Bowl for the first time based on his production during 2017 and offensive line improvements when he joined the unit.
The other problem comes in that there are a very limited number of spots for centers in the Pro Bowl. Even if he does play well, he would likely lose out to a bigger market player or a higher-profile player since fans would likely vote for more familiar names.
