Trae Waynes

Trae Waynes is a polarizing player inside the Minnesota Vikings fan base. While some praise him for his run stopping ability and decent enough cover skills, others see him as a liability across from Xavier Rhodes, a true shutdown corner.

The reason Waynes would have a shot at the Pro Bowl is that of the precedent set by players like Antoine Winfield, who never set the world on fire with interceptions of pass defenses yet make made the Pro Bowl three times.

It would be pretty awesome to have two Minnesota Vikings representing the NFC in the Pro Bowl, but making that happen could be a huge challenge and depend greatly on Waynes’ ability to continue evolving at the position.

Right now, Waynes is a solid player with the potential to get even better. He gained respect for his play against the run, but if he can continue to improve in his coverage there is a good chance he might be making the Pro Bowl one of these years.
