The Viking Age’s Adam Patrick and Vikings Territory’s go over the latest offseason news and updates related to the Minnesota Vikings.

As is the case with every big contract, it was important to wait for the details of Danielle Hunter’s extension with the Minnesota Vikings to be revealed before having any sort of mental breakdown. Last week, the cap hits for each year of Hunter’s new deal came out and the Vikings look to be in pretty good shape for the next few seasons.

The higher cap hits of the defensive end’s extension are scheduled to come at the end of his deal and one would think that Minnesota has it set so that would would be able to get out of the contract if needed without enduring a huge hit to their salary cap.

These new details were discussed on this week’s episode of the Bleeding Purple Podcast by Tyler and I as well as a number of other Vikings-related topics including…

  • New details about Hunter’s contract revealed
  • Is Diggs or Barr more valuable to the Vikings?
  • Most important position group in Minnesota’s defense?
  • Philly writers still obsessed with Vikings fans
  • Percy Harvin reveals his issues with anxiety
  • Previewing the 2018 Supplemental Draft
  • Vikings connections in the new AAF league
