Kirk Cousins will have plenty of weapons to play with in 2018 as the Minnesota Vikings feature a strong wide receiver corps heading into camp.

The Minnesota Vikings have had a long lineage of productive wide receivers in their history.

After Anthony Carter tore it up for the Vikings in the late 80s and early 90s, Cris Carter carried the torch until he left Minnesota after the 2001 season. Then, Randy Moss happened and set the world on fire.

However, after Moss left following the 2004 season (and Sidney Rice had a blurb on the radar in 2009), the Vikings haven’t been able to recreate the dangerous passing game they had assembled for a 20-year stretch.

That was until last year when Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen both broke out and made Minnesota a team to fear in the air as well as on the ground. The presence of those two and some other new faces will make the transition simpler for new quarterback Kirk Cousins in 2018 and also make it easier to establish a rapport with the new signal caller.

All of this makes the wide receiver position a key group to watch heading into training camp.
