The Viking Age’s Adam Patrick and Vikings Territory’s Tyler Haag preview Minnesota Vikings training camp and more on this week’s show.

Members of the 2018 Minnesota Vikings are hitting the field for training camp this week, but it will be with heavy hearts.

Vikings offensive line coach Tony Sparano unexpectedly passed away last Sunday and shockwaves were sent through the entire organization. Not only did Minnesota lose a great coach in Sparano, but the team also lost a great mentor and friend.

On this week’s episode of the Bleeding Purple Podcast, Tyler and I discussed the recent passing of the team’s assistant coach and other Vikings-related topics including…

  • The impact of Sparano’s sudden death
  • Who will be the Vikings’ next offensive line coach?
  • Time to panic even more about Minnesota’s offensive line?
  • Vikings finally report to training camp!
  • Top position battles to watch in camp this year
  • Remembering the Heinicke/Keenum battle of 2017
  • Talking Teddy and Bradford
  • The ongoing Diggs vs. Barr argument
  • Diggs and Keenum win an ESPY
  • Picks for surprise training camp cuts
  • Mike Hughes signs his rookie deal
  • Vikings are currently worth more than $2 billion
  • Harrison Smith’s wardrobe is so boring
  • Tyler’s already panicking about the Vikings’ season
  • Zimmer is the perfect guy to get Minnesota back on track
