Quarterbacks (3)

No change from the previous projection on the quarterbacks. The Minnesota Vikings are locked into having Kirk Cousins be the quarterback of their future, or at least for the next three seasons, with the massive and fully-guaranteed contract the team inked him to.

Cousins will provide some stability at the position while acquiring Trevor Siemian give the team a former starter with a lot of future potential to grow and develop in Minnesota at an extremely low cost to allow the team to retain more of their talent instead of paying big money for a backup in free agency.

While the Vikings could feel good about going forward with just Cousins and Siemian on their roster, they have expressed a lot of interest in watching Sloter develop, even carrying him as the team’s third quarterback last year.

Peter Pujals is the other quarterback on the roster, but likely is only a camp arm unless he can truly impress the team enough to unseat Sloter or earn a spot on the team’s practice squad. However, with three interesting players at the position already, he would need to truly be magnificent.
