The Other Cornerbacks:

Terrance Newman, Holton Hill, Jack Tocho, Craig James, Trevon Mathis, Horace Richardson, and Tray Matthews

Terrance Newman returns for his 16th season in the NFL this year. While his best days are behind him, his knowledge makes him an extra coach on the field for the Vikings.

With many young corners trying to make sense of the game, he’s a good depth piece for Minnesota to have in the locker room.

One of those younger pieces fighting for a spot is undrafted free-agent Holton Hill.

Hill was graded as a fourth or fifth-round prospect according to his NFL.com draft profile this year. But off-the-field concerns made teams pass on him.

Hill has tremendous size (6-foot-3, 200 pounds) and attributes (4.49 40-yard dash time) that make him worthy of the low-risk, high reward flier.

The rest of the group will battle for practice squad spots. Tocho spent last season on the practice squad while James, Mathis, Richardson and Matthews will all battle to make a good impression.
