Minnesota Vikings fans are well aware how special teams can change the outcome of a game. The Vikings’ history has been filled with special teams mishaps late in the season that have cost the team wins, trips to the Super Bowl, and possibly more.
As the fan base still has nightmares from Blair Walsh and Gary Anderson, shoring up the special teams unit has to be a priority every season for Minnesota.
The good news is that the Vikings have made measures to help their special teams, which was good a year ago, become great in 2018. A new kicker and a dynamic returner should give the group a shot in the arm as the team heads into this year’s training camp.
