Punter:
Ryan Quigley
Just as important as the kicker position, the punter spot for the Vikings appears to be in good hands this year with Quigley returning for his second season. After winning the job in Minnesota’s 2017 training camp, the seventh-year pro didn’t have his best yardage output last season (42.2 yards per punt), but he was insanely accurate.
In 71 attempts, Quigley didn’t have a single touchback last year. Even more impressive is that he had a career-high 29 punts land inside the 20-yard line. That type of precision is much appreciated by the Vikings even when they have one of the top defenses in the league.
It remains to be seen whether Quigley’s big 2017 season can be duplicated. But for now, his job appears to be locked in.
