The polarizing (and soon-to-be) Hall of Famer, Randy Moss made a career out of tormenting the Green Bay Packers.

Every so often, the Green Bay Packers hold their shareholder meeting in the heart of Green Bay, Wisconsin.

As they presumably sip on their Miller Lites and recite each of their four Super Bowl victories, they also bask in the glow that they purchased a piece of paper that declares they are indeed a part-owner of their favorite football team.

It’s a gathering that has the hearts of casual football fans around the world, but the truth buried is that their “ownership” of the Packers is a farce. In reality, they do not own any part of the team.

That’s because Randy Moss owns the Green Bay Packers.

The former Minnesota Vikings great will take his place among the game’s best as he’s enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this weekend. His legacy was split between fans who loved that any given play of his could result in a touchdown and those who believed his off-the-field antics took away from that success.

However, his play against the Packers during his 14-year career was something that all Vikings fans could get behind.

In 15 career games against Green Bay, Moss had 73 receptions for 1,320 yards and 14 touchdowns. While his catch total was only the second-most he had against a single opponent (tied with the Detroit Lions), his receiving yards and touchdowns against the Packers were the most he had against any team during his time in the NFL.

The stats are one thing (and he did go 7-8 against Green Bay in his career), but Moss also had a way of making sure his games against the Packers were ones with an exclamation point.

As a rookie in 1998, Moss’ initial coming out party came against Green Bay on Monday Night Football. Underneath the mystique of Lambeau Field and legendary Packers quarterback Brett Favre, Moss stole the show with five catches for 190 yards and two touchdowns.

In his second-career matchup against Green Bay later that year, the Vikings receiver hauled in eight catches for 153 yards and another touchdown.

Moss made such a mockery of the Packers’ secondary in his rookie year that Green Bay went out and drafted four defensive backs in 1999 (including their first three selections) to try to stop him.

For the most part, it didn’t work.

Of course, there were plenty of great games in between, but perhaps the greatest slap in the face to the Packers came in a NFC Wild Card game during the 2004 season.

Despite battling through a high ankle sprain, Moss still caught four balls for 70 yards and two touchdowns, including one of the most memorable touchdowns in Vikings history.

However, his infamous celebration would cause Joe Buck to blow a gasket and punch Moss’ ticket out of Minnesota. It ended being one of the last times that the receiver would face the Packers within the NFC North.

As a fitting goodbye, the local media caught up with Moss shortly after the 2004 playoffs and the receiver doubled down by dropping the greatest sound byte in Vikings history.
