6 pleasant surprises at Vikings training camp this year

Dalvin Cook – RB
Along with Laquon Treadwell’s play, the performance of Dalvin Cook has been one of the top takeaways from this year’s Vikings training camp so far.
Coming off a torn ACL he suffered last October, there was a fair amount of uncertainty surrounding Cook and his recovery status heading into camp. But the running back erased pretty much every doubt about his health as soon as he stepped on the practice field at the TCO Performance Center without the aid of a knee brace.
Many who have witnessed Cook at training camp this year have all come away with a similar thought. The running back doesn’t even look like he tore his ACL last season.
It’s a good sign for Cook and Minnesota’s offense. If the Vikings can have the running back on the field for the entire 2018 season, their offense is likely going to be incredibly difficult for opposing defenses to contain.
