Brian O’Neill – OT

Like Mike Hughes and Holton Hill, O’Neill is another Vikings rookie that has been holding his own against the team’s veterans at training camp this year.

With Mike Remmers being moved to right guard, O’Neill has been competing in camp with Rashod Hill to be Minnesota’s starting right tackle for 2018. He struggled a bit during the first portion of training camp, but since then the rookie offensive lineman has progressed and improved more and more during each and every practice.

It’s not like O’Neill has an easy blocking assignment in training camp this year either. Whenever he gets reps with the first-team offensive line, the rookie has to try and prevent Minnesota defensive end Danielle Hunter from ripping his arms off.

Due to experience, Hill will likely open the regular season as the Vikings starting right tackle. But Minnesota still has to feel good about the progress O’Neill has been making during training camp this year.
