Who’s in? Who’s out? What could the Vikings’ final 53 in 2018 look like?

Offensive Line:

  • Locks: Riley Reiff, Brian O’Neill, Tom Compton, Danny Isidora, Pat Elflein, Brett Jones, Mike Remmers, Rashod Hill, Aviante Collins
  • On the Bubble: Cornelius Edison, Colby Gossett, J.P. Quinn
  • Odd Men Out: Jacob Judd, Chris Gonzalez, Storm Norton

The biggest question mark here is whether Elflein will start the regular season on the PUP list. If the Vikings choose to go that route, he must miss the first six weeks of the season, but he doesn’t take up a roster spot. At Sunday’s press conference, Zimmer said he doesn’t think that Elflein will be placed on regular season PUP.

The offensive line also got a new face when the Vikings acquired Brett Jones from the New York Giants for an unconditional draft pick on Sunday afternoon. Jones started 13 games for New York last year after Weston Richburg was lost for the year with a concussion.

The addition of Jones probably wipes out Edison and Quinn, but they could stay if the Vikings decide to use Jones as more of a utility guy between guard and center. Tennessee will be a proving ground for those two along with sixth-round pick Colby Gossett in order to lock down a job.
