Anthony Harris – S

Some may not believe that Harris’ job is with the Vikings is up in the air at this point, but it certainly is thanks to the team adding safety George Iloka last week.

Iloka, Andrew Sendejo, and Harrison Smith all figure to be locks for Minnesota’s final 2018 roster, so that likely leaves just one more safety spot to be filled by either Harris or Jayron Kearse. If the Vikings end up having to choose between the two, Harris is the guy they should go with.

In his fourth year with Minnesota, Harris’ improvement in play has been quite noticeable this preseason. Whenever he has been on the field with the defense this year, the Vikings safety seems to find his way to the opposing ball-carrier more often than not.

Harris’ performance so far this preseason combined with his ability to play both safety positions is what should give him the edge over Kearse when Minnesota makes their final cuts on Saturday.
