The second episode of “NFL Life | Kirk Cousins” details his arrival to Minneapolis and signing his fully guaranteed contract with the Minnesota Vikings.

Last week, Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins released the first episode of a mini-documentary titled NFL LIfe | Kirk Cousins which chronicled his adventure through free agency. On Sunday, the Vikings released the second episode titled “We’re Here to Get to Work.” Which chronicle’s Cousins’ arrival to Minnesota.

The beginning of the episode starts shortly after Cousins has dinner with Rick Spielman, Mike Zimmer and several players at The Capital Grille in Minneapolis. While Kirk and his wife Julie discuss the dinner, it’s a little disappointing to not get to see what that group may have said to Cousins to solidify his decision to become a Viking.

The episode continues as Cousins arrives at U.S. Bank Stadium and then heads over to TCO Performance Center in Eagan as he gets used to his new home and signs the fully guaranteed, three-year, $84 million contract. Cousins also discusses the magnitude of his deal, which is the first fully guaranteed contract in NFL history and how it can help players in the future.

"“Signing the first fully-guaranteed contract of this size is very gratifying,” Cousins said. “I find it interesting that nearly all the other professional sports leagues are filled with guaranteed contracts. In the NFL, that’s not the case. If you at all underperform, the money is gone. The Vikings offered the money guaranteed. That money is real money. I do hope it can help the players after me and give them a greater contract certainty.”"

The episode wraps up with Cousins running the media gauntlet after his introductory press conference and preparing to get to work for offseason team activities.

The second episode runs about nine minutes in length and can be seen on the Vikings’ official website.
