Last season, Quigley wasn’t known for booming punts resulting in huge yardage, but he did provide the Minnesota Vikings with a regular season which found zero touchbacks happening on punts to secure field position.

Returning from injury, McDermott should once again provide consistency snapping the ball back to the punter on field goals and extra point attempts. He should be a long-term answer at the position.

The biggest question mark on the team comes with Carlson. His performance in Week 2 of the preseason when he missed two field goals of 40+ yards has some fans concerned about him going forward, but otherwise, he’s proven to be consistent with a big leg, especially on kickoffs.

Quigley and McDermott are only 28 years old with Carlson clocking in at a youthful 23. The experience of this unit could be another thing to ponder, but a solid performance this season could put those concerns to rest.

That rounds out the 53-man roster for the Minnesota Vikings for the 2018 season following the team’s final cuts. The team will likely still make some transactions, so this may not be the group entering Week 1, but for now, it’s great to see how it is all coming along.
