Tight ends (3)

Released: Blake Bell, Tyler Hoppes

The three tight ends who made the roster should come as no surprise to anyone since they were either returning players who had big roles or a rookie who was drafted with a mid-round pick to produce.

Of course, Rudolph is expected to be the top receiving tight end of the group. He has scored 5 touchdowns or more in the last three seasons, also having his best seasons those years in terms of receiving yards. However, rookie Conklin has shown some great pass catching ability as well, meaning he could make an impact as well.

Morgan will be relied upon to be a blocking tight end. He will help to pave the way for running backs and protect the quarterback. Still, the tight end has sneaky good hands and could be a surprising target to defenses.

What was somewhat shocking was the release of Bell. Playing 205 special teams snaps as well as 145 on offense should be able to be distributed, but the only question is if the players replacing him on special teams will be as good.
