After finishing just a game short of the Super Bowl last season, how does the writing staff at The Viking Age believe 2018 will turn out for the Minnesota Vikings?

Expectations are sky high for the Minnesota Vikings in 2018. And they should be. The Vikings are coming off a year that saw them win 13 games in the regular season and then make it all the way to the NFC Championship.

The majority of last year’s roster is returning for 2018 and Minnesota also upgraded their talent level this offseason with the signings of quarterback Kirk Cousins and defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson. Plus the Vikings get to have running back Dalvin Cook at their disposal once again in 2018 after he played in just four games last season due to a torn ACL.

So everything seems to line up with Minnesota finishing on top of the NFL in 2018, right? Well, not quite.

This is the Vikings we are talking about and if history has told us anything, it’s to always expect the unexpected when it comes to this franchise.

But this year’s team does seem to have as good a shot at coming away with a Super Bowl win as any Minnesota squad has had in the recent past. Who knows, maybe this could actually be the season where everything actually goes right for the Vikings and they capture the franchise’s first ever Vince Lombardi trophy.

As for how the staff at The Viking Age feels about how Minnesota will finish during the upcoming regular season, let’s just say no one thinks the Vikings will be fighting for a top spot in the 2019 NFL Draft.
