The Minnesota Vikings opened their 2018 NFL season at home against the San Francisco 49ers, a team on the rise with a lot of young talent and a promising quarterback in former Tom Brady understudy Jimmy Garoppolo.

Expectations are high for Minnesota this season. The addition of huge talents like Kirk Cousins and Sheldon Richardson to the returning NFC North champions has many experts and fans feeling this could be the year Minnesota reaches the Super Bowl.

However, the road to the big game starts in Week 1. Although the 49ers proved to be an exceptionally tough test for the Vikings, Minnesota was able to emerge from the game victorious by a final score of 24-16.
