7. Adam Thielen (no change)

It has been amazing to see the trust quarterbacks have in Thielen over the seasons. Every quarterback who works with him seems to love throwing him the football thanks to his solid route running and reliable hands.

Although he only caught 6 passes during the game, he managed to reach 102 yards. In other great news, Cousins threw the ball his way twelve times in Week 1, proving that his lack of attention during the preseason was nothing to be concerned about at all.

6. Danielle Hunter (Up 3 spots)

The biggest riser in the player ranking this week is Hunter, who showed exactly why Minnesota locked him down to a massive contract extension this offseason, dominating his position on the line of scrimmage.

Despite only finishing the game with four tackles, two of them were for a loss with the pressure from Hunter making the left offensive tackle for the 49ers look silly. Hunter always looks to be continually evolving as a pass rusher and should continue to get better as his career goes on.

5. Stefon Diggs (no change)

Diggs didn’t turn out to get the huge amount of targets that some fans were expecting after he seemed to be the favorite target for quarterback Kirk Cousins throughout much of the preseason, but he did make those targets count.

He had six passes thrown his way and hauled in three of those, with one being a beautiful touchdown connection on a pass that Cousins threw on a dime. Diggs may only have had 43 receiving yards and eight rushing yards, but he didn’t have to do much more in the contest to be very effective.
