Will the Minnesota Vikings be able to start their 2018 season with a two-game winning streak by defeating the Green Bay Packers on Sunday?

It’s another season and another chapter in the divisional rivalry between the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers.

Last year, the Vikings were able to sweep the season series between the two teams and it might have had something to do with Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers getting knocked out of their first matchup with a broken collarbone.

But even before the events of 2017, this NFC North rivalry has seen its share of memorable moments.

Some of the recent memories have included legendary Green Bay quarterback Brett Favre crossing the border and signing with the Vikings in 2009, Randy Moss’ infamous “Shoot the Moon” touchdown celebration against the Packers in 2005, and Green Bay receiver Antonio Freeman making a miraculous catch in an overtime win over Minnesota in 2000.

The Packers lead the all-time series between the two teams (including the playoffs) but the Vikings have won four of their last five games against their NFC North rival.

More memories between these two franchises will likely be made this season and the first opportunity for this will take place this week at Lambeau Field. What are four things that should be expected from the Vikings’ first matchup of the year against Green Bay on Sunday?
