Four Bold Predictions: Vikings vs. Packers – Week 2

Anthony Barr gets flagged for roughing the passer
In the middle of his impressive debut for the Vikings last week, defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson was flagged for roughing the passer. Richardson can thank Anthony Barr for that penalty.
Due to Barr’s hit on Aaron Rodgers last season (which was not flagged), the NFL implemented a new rule this season that is attempting to prevent defenders from using their body weight to drive opponents into the ground.

As for Richardson’s response to drawing a flag in Week 1, he says he’s not about to change the way he plays just because of a new rule.
"“I play football. I’m not going to be dirty. I’m going to play football. It’s aggressive and it is what it is. If you’re scared, go to church.”"
Against Rodgers and the Packers this Sunday, the game officials will definitely be watching Barr very closely and every interaction he has with an opposing player. Like Richardson though, the Minnesota linebacker isn’t about to hold back change the way he plays.
If Barr gets a chance to hit Rodgers at any point this week, expect it to be followed with yellow laundry all over the field.
