3. Cousins’ bomb to Diggs

A big reason why the Vikings went after Kirk Cousins this offseason was because of his ability to stretch the field. Prior to signing with Minnesota this year, Cousins threw 26 touchdowns that were passes of 30 yards or more as a member of the Washington Redskins.

On Sunday, that attribute of his was on full display.

Down 23-14 to the Packers in the fourth quarter, the Vikings and their quarterback knew they didn’t have much time left to avoid leaving Lambeau Field with a loss. So on 2nd and 10 from their own 25-yard line, Cousins took the snap, faked the handoff to Dalvin Cook, dropped back a bit, and then chucked the football 60 yards down the field into the arms of Minnesota receiver Stefon Diggs.

Diggs then took the ball and found his way to the end zone to complete a 75-yard scoring play for the Vikings. It was a beautiful throw by Cousins and the first of many Minnesota hopes to see this season.
