2. Thielen’s mind-boggling catch
Adam Thielen has clearly been a favorite target of Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins’ during the team’s first two games this year, and for good reason. Thielen catches basically everything that his thrown his way.
On Sunday against the Packers, the Minnesota receiver finished with 12 catches (tying a career high) for 131 yards and one touchdown. But it was Thielen’s fourth-quarter reception in the end zone that everyone will remember the most from his performance this week.
As the Vikings’ offense was driving down the field and attempting to tie the game, the team faced a 1st and 10 on the Green Bay 22-yard line with less than 40 seconds remaining in regulation.
Cousins took the snap and fired a pass toward the right side of the end zone in the direction of Thielen. Somehow, someway the ball managed to slip between two Packers defenders and into the hands of the Minnesota receiver for a touchdown.
It was easily one of Thielen’s most impressive and most memorable catches of his entire NFL career.
