Bailey makes all of his kicks
Since their season ended last year, the Vikings have already had three different kickers take up spots on their roster. After signing this week, Bailey is the third and Minnesota is hoping he will be the last.
The Vikings’ newest kicker is coming off an impressive seven-year career with the Dallas Cowboys where he made 88.2 percent of his field goal attempts. His conversion rate on field goals is the second-highest percentage in NFL history.
Seems like a pretty good thing to have on his resumé, right?
Bailey will get his first chance to impress his new teammates in Minnesota this Sunday when they take on the Buffalo Bills. Considering the game is being played indoors at U.S. Bank Stadium, the Vikings’ new kicker should have no trouble making all of his field goal and extra point attempts this week.
After Bailey does this, it’s possible that Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer could actually have something positive to say about his team’s kicker. Something he has been waiting to do ever since he was hired by Minnesota in 2014.
