Murray finds the end zone, twice
Even if Dalvin Cook suits up on Sunday (which is not expected as of Thursday), his workload likely won’t be as large as it was during the Vikings’ first two games of the season. Based on this, expect Latavius Murray to get the majority of the touches out of anyone in Minnesota’s offensive backfield against the Bills this week.
Murray will be going up against a Buffalo defense that is giving up an average of 113 yards and two touchdowns on the ground so far this season.
In his second year with the Vikings, the veteran running back has only touched the football 15 times in 2018. All 15 touches have been rushing attempts and he has gained a total of 61 yards on the ground (4.1 yards per carry).
Against the Bills on Sunday, there seems to be a good chance that Murray could finish with at least 15 touches. Especially if Cook is unable to play.
With some extra time on the field this week, Murray will take advantage of his increased opportunities and carry the ball into the end zone not once, but two times.
