Four Bold Predictions: Minnesota Vikings vs. Buffalo Bills – Week 3
By Adam Patrick
Cousins sits out the fourth quarter
After having one of the most impressive games of his career last week against the Packers, Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins gets to take on a Bills defense that has already given up six touchdowns to opposing signal callers this season.
Aside from Dalvin Cook, Minnesota is expected to have most of Cousins’ offensive weapons healthy on Sunday against Buffalo. The Vikings quarterback will, once again, have the luxury of tossing passes into the breadbaskets of wide receivers Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs.
Cousins will continue his impressive 2018 campaign with two touchdown passes in the first half of Minnesota’s matchup with the Bills this week. Then in the third quarter, the Vikings signal-caller will throw for another two scores.
With a comfortable lead thanks to Cousins and their offense, Minnesota will opt to sit their quarterback for the fourth quarter on Sunday to avoid him suffering any unnecessary injuries.
Considering the Vikings have two tough matchups against the Los Angeles Rams and Philadelphia Eagles coming up after this week’s game with Buffalo, Cousins will need all the rest he can get.
