Overall Impression vs Bills

This was a brutal game to watch. There is no polite way to talk about the Minnesota Vikings performance in Week 3 other than to say it was embarrassing and disappointing for the entire 60 minutes of play.

Hope for a Vikings comeback never felt in the works at all, since the team was so flat and uninspired. Once the whole was built for Minnesota, the team just stayed there until garbage time when the Bills were happy to sit on their lead for a win and let their defense do the work.

Even when the offensive line rarely gave Cousins a chance to throw the football with a good pocket, the throws were off. No run game at all, pass game struggling, and the three giveaways are enough to shut down any team from putting points on the board.

The real story of this game is the time of possession, with Minnesota only having the ball for 24:15 during the game. That number is inflated too, thanks to some drives sustained when the game was well out of reach.

This game needs to be one the Minnesota Vikings learn from. They need to feel the disappointment in themselves and the fans. They need to get that feeling of knowing how awful of a performance they put on and never want to feel that again.

The worst part of all this is that the Minnesota Vikings now hit the road to take on the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday Night Football. The Rams are a team who looks like they can beat anyone at any time. If the purple and gold come out this flat again, it won’t even be a contest.

Hopefully, there will be more to be positive about next week!
