Minnesota Vikings vs Rams injury report: Two players ruled out for Week 4
By Adam Carlson
Who will and won’t be available for the Week 4 Thursday Night Football game between the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams? Here is the injury report!
Coming off a humiliating loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 3, the Minnesota Vikings are hoping to turn things around in a big way during a short week as they face off against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 4 on Thursday Night Football.
For the Vikings to have a shot at beating the undefeated Rams, they will need to put their struggles the last two weeks behind them and focus on beating a team that looks like an NFC juggernaut.
Minnesota was missing a couple of starters as well as some key players in Week 3, but they should be getting some of those individuals back to help them against Los Angeles. Here is a rundown of the injury report according to the official Vikings website:
Minnesota Vikings
Out
- Everson Griffen, DE – knee/not injury related
- Marcus Sherels, CB – ribs
Doubtful
- – none –
Questionable
- Dalvin Cook, RB – hamstring
- Anthony Harris, S – hamstring
- Tom Johnson, DT – ankle
- Riley Reiff, OT – ankle
With everything going on, it was expected that Everson Griffen would miss this game. However, being without special teams ace Marcus Sherels might be more of a blow to the squad than many fans realize.
If players like Dalvin Cook and Riley Reiff are unable to go, the offense for the Vikings may struggle again. Minnesota will need all the talent possible on the field if they want a great chance at a win on Thursday.
Los Angeles Rams
Out
- Jojo Natson, WR – hand
- Greg Zuerlein, K – groin
Doubtful
- Mark Barron, linebacker – ankle
Questionable
- Dominique Easley, linebacker – knee
- Marcus Peters, CB – calf
Earlier in the week, it appeared as though the Rams would be without Marcus Peters. However, it now seems as though he may be good to go for the game, even if he won’t be at 100%. Also, cornerback Aqib Talib has been placed in IR, making him inactive for at least 8 weeks.
Missing both Dominique Easley and Mark Barron would be big for the Vikings offense as well, especially with the cornerbacks being banged up for the contest.
Which players do you think would be the biggest loss for the Minnesota Vikings if they are unable to play? And who is a key player for the Rams who, if out, could make a significant difference in the outcome of the game? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
