Vikings’ offense gets off to a quick start
Getting points early will be key to Minnesota getting a win on the road on Thursday. Especially against a team like the Rams, who are already the third-best scoring team in the NFL this season.
Using a good mix of run and pass plays, the Vikings will score at least 10 points on their first two offensive drives of the game against Los Angeles.
With both Rams starting cornerbacks Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters not expected to play this week, Minnesota will test Los Angeles’ replacements immediately and it will prove to be a smart strategy. Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins will get back to resembling the impressive passer that the team saw at the end of their game against the Green Bay Packers in Week 2.
By scoring early in the matchup on Thursday, Minnesota should be able to build their confidence back up and have a better shot at coming away with a win over the Rams.
