Vikings score a rushing touchdown

This doesn’t seem like that bold of a prediction, but Minnesota actually doesn’t have a rushing touchdown yet this season.

After missing last week’s game with a hamstring injury, running back Dalvin Cook is expected to be back in the lineup for the Vikings on Thursday. Cook’s return is an immediate boost to a Minnesota rushing attack that ended last Sunday against the Bills with just 14 yards on the ground.

Facing the Los Angeles Rams this week, the Vikings should be able to have a more effective run game.

Last Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers, the Rams’ defense gave up 120 rushing yards on 20 attempts. Opposing offenses facing the Rams this season have been able to average five yards per carry.

With Cook back out on the field, Los Angeles’ run defense is certainly something Minnesota should be able to exploit.
