Minnesota defense shuts down Gurley
Rams running back Todd Gurley has rushed for over 100 yards in a game against 11 NFL teams since entering the league in 2015. Of these 11 teams, none of them are named the Minnesota Vikings.
In two matchups against Gurley, the Vikings have been able to hold the talented running back to under 90 yards on the ground each time. Last season, Minnesota held Gurley to just 37 rushing yards on 15 carries.
Don’t expect his performance against the Vikings’ defense to be any different on Thursday. Through the first three weeks, opposing offenses are averaging just 3.6 yards per rushing attempt against Minnesota this season.
Gurley has already rushed for over 100 yards in two of his first three games this year. But he won’t be adding a third to his total when he faces the Vikings on Thursday.
