The Minnesota Vikings wide receiver is off to a very impressive start to the 2018 season and has already even set a couple of team records.
A year after being voted to his first Pro Bowl and earning a Second-Team All-Pro selection, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen is out to prove this season that 2017 was anything but a fluke.
So far this year, Thielen is not only playing better than any receiver on the Vikings’ roster, but the argument could also be made that he’s playing better than any pass catcher in the NFL.
Through four weeks, the Minnesota receiver has already caught 40 passes for 473 yards and two touchdowns.

He has finished with at least 100 yards in every single one of the Vikings’ games this season. By doing this, the Minnesota pass catcher has become part of a very select group in NFL history.
Thielen, Issac Bruce, and Randy Moss are the only three receivers to begin a season with at least 100 receiving yards in each of their first four games. Bruce did it in 2004 and Moss did it in 2007.
Thielen’s yardage total also broke Moss’ team record for the most during the Vikings’ first four matchups in a season. The former Minnesota receiver racked up 434 yards during his first four games back in 2003.
No Vikings pass catcher has ever finished with more than 30 receptions in their first four games of a season either. So with 40 catches already this year, Thielen obviously owns that team record now too.
At his current pace, the Minnesota receiver is on track to end 2018 with a total of 160 catches, 1,892 yards, and eight touchdowns. These numbers may be slightly ridiculous (just a bit), but Thielen is definitely still on pace to have a monster season.
Combined with the talents of Stefon Diggs, the Vikings clearly have one of the most impressive receiving duos in the NFL this year (if not the most impressive).
