Minnesota Vikings player rankings: Week 5 edition
By Adam Carlson
10. Kyle Rudolph (New)
Rudolph finally seems to be getting some real attention from his quarterback, getting 6 passes tossed his way and hauling in five of those for 57 yards. Last week, he had a similar stat line but added a touchdown against Buffalo.
Rudolph showed some real guts in this game, pushing for extra yardage on some of this receptions when close to picking up a first down. If he can continue to supplement Diggs and Thielen, the team will be able to keep defenses guessing on a regular basis.
9. Everson Griffen (Down 5 spots)
It stinks when a player can’t make an impact on the field and with whatever is happening with Griffen, there is absolutely no way of knowing when he will be able to join his teammates in a game again.
While head coach Mike Zimmer says the soonest he would be able to return would be Week 6, the Vikings will be doing their best with a combination of Stephen Weatherly and Tashawn Bower but there is no replacing a player the caliber of the “Sack Daddy”.
8. Sheldon Richardson (No change)
The Minnesota Vikings made signing Richardson a priority when he became available and so far that has proven to be one of the wisest decisions the team made considering the impact he has made next to Joseph.
Richardson has made quite the impact, including six tackles in this game, with four of them being solo. In addition, one of those tackles was for a loss and he also registered another quarterback hit among some hurries!
